Eline Van Onacker

Eline Van Onacker is a postdoctoral research fellow (FWO Flanders) at the University of Antwerp. In her PhD (Village elites and social structures in the fifteenth- and sixteenth-century Campine area, Brepols, forthcoming) she dealt with inequality and social stratification within a peasant region. Her current research focuses on the redistribution, poor relief and inequality on the countryside of the Low Countries, and on how different types of communities dealt with periods of grain crisis.
